Greg is our managing partner. He joined A J Park in 1986 and has been a partner since 1992. Greg is an intellectual property litigation and enforcement specialist and has been involved in many leading intellectual property cases before the Commissioner of Patents and Trade Marks and the High Court and Court of Appeal in New Zealand.
Greg has represented member companies of the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical industry body, in leading cases determining the patent protection available for pharmaceuticals in New Zealand. Greg has been involved in patent, trade mark, copyright, trade practices and trade secrets cases in all courts for major international corporations such as, GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca and Anheuser Busch as well as New Zealand companies and individuals.
Greg is the leader of the A J Park Law litigation team in our Wellington office and oversees intellectual property litigation cases handled by the Wellington litigation team. He is also involved in patent and trade mark opposition matters. He provides opinions on the validity and infringement of patents, trade marks, copyright and trade secrets. Greg also advises on advertising issues and makes submissions to, and appears before, the Advertising Standards Authority.
Greg contributes a regular newsletter item to European Intellectual Property Review (EIPR) and is the editor of the firm's newsletter, IP Newz.
Greg is a member of the Wellington District Law Society, a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys, a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand and a member of Inter Pacific Bar Association.
