Allan joined A J Park Law as a partner in 2003. He is a commercial lawyer specialising in intellectual property and technology.
Allan advises on the commercialisation of technology. He works seamlessly with A J Park's patent attorneys to thoroughly understand clients' technologies. Together they formulate strategies with clients to develop, protect and commercialise their technologies.
Allan's expertise includes negotiating, drafting and advising on:
- research and development agreements including collaboration agreements with overseas institutions and companies;
- confidentiality, non use and restraint of trade agreements;
- contracts for the protection and exploitation of intellectual property, trade secrets, confidential information and know-how;
- strategic alliance and joint venture arrangements;
- contracts for the licensing and assignment of intellectual property;
- franchise, dealership and distribution agreements.
