Kim first joined A J Park in 1987 and has been a partner in our Auckland office since 2002. Kim is an intellectual property litigation and enforcement specialist.
Kim acts for many of local and multi-national companies to enforce their intellectual property rights in New Zealand and overseas. He has extensive commercial litigation experience in a range of industries with particular emphasis on the entertainment and consumer goods industries.
Kim left A J Park in 1991 and worked as a solicitor in the intellectual property teams for two of Hong Kong's largest firms. He specialised in protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights in many countries including China. During this time, Kim worked on a number of high profile cases involving anti-counterfeiting initiatives.
Kim leads the intellectual property litigation team in our Auckland office. He has been involved in leading cases before the commissioner of patents and trade marks, the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in New Zealand. Kim has also appeared in the Advertising Standards Authority
Kim is a member of the Auckland District Law Society and is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys (NZIPA).

Admitted as a Solicitor (England & Wales & Hong Kong)
