Anton specialises in all aspects of patent and related intellectual property law in particular for mechanical and manufacturing patents.  Anton is also a copyright and designs specialist.

Anton has experience with a range of technologies including packaging, marine, composites, engine design, fluid dynamics, clean technologies and thermo dynamics.  His clients include New Zealand's top innovators such as Vertex Pacific Ltd, Mooring Systems Ltd, Fletcher Aluminum and AEP Industries (New Zealand) Ltd.

He has experience in conducting IP audits and due diligence for several large New Zealand companies in the fields of maritime technology, aviation and packaging.  He is also involved in establishing and maintaining IP policies and procedures at several organisations to help them foster an IP culture to extract high value from their intellectual property.

Anton attended the University of Canterbury and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree with Honours in Mechanical Engineering in 1993 and a Masters in Engineering in 1994.  Anton joined A J Park in 1994 and studied part time towards a law degree, qualifying in 2004.

Anton regularly presents on intellectual property to organisations such as Auckland University, New Zealand Agritech and local business incubators.  Anton is a mentor in the "Business in the Community" new business programme and an advisor on a kids' inventions television programme - 'Let's get inventing'.


Anton is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys (NZIPA) and the Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
